A Pair of Arrests in the Aftermath of London Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack

The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
